Tisha Campbell-Martin, best known for playing Gina on the sitcom Martin, has announced that she’s splitting from her husband on 27 years.
According to TMZ Tisha filed the documents on Thursday to part ways with her husband Duane Martin. The pair have been married since Martin was still on the air, tying the knot in 1996, and they have two sons named Ezekiel and Xen.
Campbell-Martin released a statement to the gossip website about the news, asking for privacy during the ordeal.
“After 27 years of being together and two amazing children, it pains me to announce that I’ve filed for divorce. It’s an emotional time and I graciously ask for privacy for me, our children and the rest of our family,” she said.

However, Tisha, Martin Lawrence and Tichina Arnold were spotted out having lunch together and did everything but confirm a reboot. Campbell-Martin seemed primed to be photographed for the occasion because she put on a sweatshirt bearing a famous quote from the show.
Lawrence himself posted a photo of the meet-up to Instagram, further stirring up the rumors that a new series was imminent.
“In the words of Ice Cube, today was a good day,” Martin wrote under the pics of the reunited cast.

In lawsuits she filed against the lead at the time, she said that Lawrence repeatedly kissed and groped her after being asked to stop. She said that it became so much of an issue that she asked the writer’s room to stop creating scenes where Lawrence and herself (love interests on the show) were in a bed together. They didn’t listen and eventually Campbell-Martin walked
“He humiliated and abused Campbell in front of the entire cast and crew on so many occasions that it reached the point where she needed to be hospitalized due to the stress he caused her,” her lawsuit said.
Lawrence denied the allegations at the time.
“Martin has long been Tisha’s champion and protector, and is thus deeply hurt by these allegations,” his statement said. “There is no merit to the lawsuit, and it will be vigorously defended.”
Campbell-Martin’s attorney countered Lawrence’s statement was a lie.
“Mr. Lawrence’s statement refers to a ‘contract dispute’ between HBO and Miss Campbell that has never existed,” he said. “The financial terms of Miss Campbell’s current contract with HBO were agreed to quickly and amicably prior to the current season. The issues raised in the current litigation have nothing to do with any discontent with the financial agreement struck between the parties.”

Campbell-Martin did return to film the closing episodes of the show, but only on the condition that she wouldn’t share the set with Lawrence. Lawrence settled the case out of court.
All that appears to be in the past, though. They were all smiles in their recent meet-up.
